The universe as a whole, from its beginning until now, has had this deep interior dimension which has been evolving along with the physical complexity of the universe. There can’t be one without the other. The universe is one. If spirit, psyche, consciousness, intelligence, soul, shows up anywhere, it is then a potential that has always been there and is integral to the universe as a whole. It is not something that comes in from outside the universe into humans.
